Woodsong is a memoir written by Gary Paulsen. It is a collection of stories about his journey that led him to the Iditarod, the 1100-mile dogsled race in Alaska. This high-interest, shorter chapter text takes readers from Paulsen acquiring his dogs, to becoming more aware of all of the things in nature that he admittedly knew nothing about until he spent countless hours running thousands of miles with the dogs. This memoir of his stories will have your students not wanting to put the book down.
