What do YOU want to be when you grow up? Students may use one of the two templates to complet the sentence. Pre-schoolers can trace the dotted font and then copy what the teacher wrote from their dictation. K and 1st grade students may copy or write and explain what they will do when they have their future job. Students should bring in props and clothing so they look like they are working at their future job. I used Google Images to find and display work places on my large SMART board. My future hairdresser posed in front of an image of a salon. She brought in a play blow dryer and a brush and we set her up infront of a scene from a hair salon. If you don't have a smock, you can use a man's white shirt. That also works for a doctor or dentist. Have fun with this! It makes an amazing bulletin board for Open House!
