    No exaggeration!

This set is every bit as fabulously helpful as everyone else said it was! I watched it with my second grader, and now BOTH of us (I never learned my times tables very well as a kid) have got them all down pat! He went from getting every other one wrong to knowing them all in two days. Which is basically miraculous. Couldn't be happier!

Has helped with my 10 year old and her issues with memorization of multiplication tables. One of the videos failed to download, I emailed Educents and they quickly sent me a link to complete the download. No muss no fuss! Thank you for the great price on Times Tales!

My 3rd grader is in the middle of learning his multiplication tables. He caught on to the easier ones and began to struggle as the time went on. He understands the "why" and "how" of multiplication and was only struggling with the quick recollection of the facts, which made his workbook pages take forever, which was then making him dread math time. I tried YouTube videos with music (he tends to memorize better when the information is with a song), tricks and patterns, and even setting goals with rewards, but none of them seemed to help and he was getting VERY frustrated. I know that memorization of facts is sometimes disputed in the education community. I read articles saying that drilling in math facts can cause more harm than good and that understanding the process behind the facts is far more important, and I agree, but as a former teacher, I also see how knowing these facts makes solving other math problems so much quicker. When I found Times Tales, I watched the sample video and decided to try it. It downloaded very nicely onto our computer and my son watched it the next day and could quickly say all of the flashcards from part 1! I even let him shoot me with the Nerf gun each time he said a correct answer :) He was so excited!! He connects well with stories and this was the perfect mnemonic device for him. I would recommend that you let your child struggle a bit with memorization and make sure they know how multiplication works before using this. But if they are at a stand-still in their progress, this is the perfect solution!

    Excellent Solidifying Resource!

My 7 and 8 year olds were flying through theie math work until they reached their multiplication tables. Times Tales provided the mental pictures for the harder-to-remember "upper" times tables and now we are back at their regular math work full-force! It was just what they needed to get over that hump. The stories are cute and easy to remember. It was a fun break from a potentially stressful situation that helped them return to math with their love for learning intact.
    Thanks Times Tales!

Trigger Memory Co. is owned and operated by Jennie von Eggers & Marillee Flanagan, sisters. They have been in business since 2003. They are two homeschool moms that were looking for an opportunity to help kids and have a small business. Jennie von Eggers created the stories for Times Tales in 2003 as a quick way for her two grade school boys to learn their upper times tables. She got tired of the same old boring flashcards. Jennie is always looking for unconventional ways to teach her kids. They have since published Zone Clean 'n' Flip products as well at the Memory Trigger. Most of their children are now in college but both the homeschooling adventure as well as their small business has been a blessing to both owners.
