Product Description

These task cards are to help your littles develop their speaking and writing skills in an engaging way! These task cards encourage your littles to use their high order thinking in order to make a choice and explain their reasoning! Great for journal writing, collaborative conversations, and writing center prompts!

These task cards are to help your littles develop their speaking and writing skills in an engaging way! Here is what you will find in this packet:

•24 This or That task cards & 1 cover card

How to use these task cards:

•Option 1: Give the littles a card and have them turn & talk with a partner to discuss their choice. Have the littles present what their partner chose. They have to listen carefully to their partner in order to present to someone else.

•Option 2: Give the littles a card for journal writing.  This gives the littles a purpose to their journal writing.  You can have the littles pass the cards around the room each day in order for them to have a new topic for each day of the month!

•Option 3: Use the cards as story starters in your writing center.  You can store them in a index card box or hole punch the corner of each card and use a book ring to keep them together and organized.

Whether your littles are speaking or writing, be sure that they are using their higher order thinking skills by explaining their choice, not simply making the choice.

I recommend that you print the task cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. Simply print, laminate, cut and enjoy!

Be sure to check out all of the sets in this series!
