Product Description

Help your PreK and K students master the tricky teen numbers with this set of hands-on activities - puzzles, ten frames, clay mats, game, and Read the Room. Fifteen pages of math learning and fun!

The numbers from 11 to 20 can be such a challenge for some of our little learners! This set is
designed to take your preK and kindergarten students from the concrete to the representational stage.
Using this resource, your students will …

* Match and assemble three-part puzzles with numeral, number bond, and ten frame representations
* Use and compare the same representations (puzzle pieces) to play a board game
* Use clay to model representations on laminated ten frames cards and then check their work by counting and “squishing” each number!
* Recognize 11-20 as represented by pictures of Base Ten blocks. Use these as task cards or for a Read the Room activity.

A student recording sheet is included.

I'm proud to have been a teacher for 26 years, with most of my experience and my happiest days spent in the primary grades. I've taught Reading Recovery, Basic Skills, first grade, and even a first grade literacy intervention class. As a big believer in hands-on learning, you'll see that center activities and games are among my favorite resources to create! Student engagement is key to learning that lasts, so I strive to create differentiated fun activities that will keep your students excited about learning!
