I spend my days with five year old explorers, thinkers, artists, creators, writers, and friends in joyful environment that promotes discovery and community. I hope my children embrace learning, nature and kindness as they grow into confident students of the world.
I am a homeschooling Momma of 4 kids, ages 5-10. Two of my kids are dealing with special challenges (ASD, SPD, ADHD and ODD, SPD, ADHD). We are very eclectic in our homeschool approach. We began with Montessori and now are much more ecclectic and child led, but with a Classical twist.
Hi everyone! I'm a Mom of 5 year old twins and a 3 year old and I want to home school my kids! Vote for me and you will be helping a family get a great curriculum and supplements for 3 little growing minds! Thanks so much for considering us!
My special needs would so benefit from these items. Their levels and needs are so diverse that I is difficult to get the materials necessary for them to really achieve and succeed. Please help me to help them?
Thank you for your votes (*_*)
We are new to homeschooling, we have four children. At this point I am creating a curriculum of my own for my children; that span three different grade levels, with free tools I find online. $10,000 would allow us to be able to purchase manipulatives credible second language, and music curriculum, also books and supplies for our program. This would make a huge difference in our children's lives.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a wishlist,
No escape from homeschooling.
Open your browsers,
Look up to my post and vote.
I'm just a poor mama, but I need no sympathy,
Because You can easily come, easily go
Little vote, by little vote,
I hope the votes blow towards me, towards me.
Voting really matters,
Anyone can see,
Voting really matters,
Voting really matters, to me.
We homeschool and I have four kids from teenager to toddler. With my wishlist I could be set till the last one is done and ready for real world. The school system failed us with my youngest son who is a little special needs. I have found my kids strengths and weaknesses since we started. Thanks for your vote.
I absolutely LOVE Educents! I have homeschooled my children for 13 years now, graduated 3 children and have 3 to go. I'm so thankful for Educents. They have so many freebies that you could literally homeschool for free. I bought Times Tales from them and my children ages 11, 9, and 5 all learned their times tables in no time! I would love to win my wishlist!!
Please Vote for me. I would at an alternative school and I want to provide career and college readiness programming to these students to help unleash their potential. I want them to know that they too can go to college and be successful.
I am homeschooling both of my daughters. Winning would give them opportunities they otherwise wouldn't get. My youngest daughter has Sensory Possessing disorder and I have added lots of items for her that would help her throughout our day. For my oldest daughter I have added music items since she has been asking to learn an instrument.
Thank you for your consideration.
I am a special education teacher for grades K-3. We have a tight budget so there is not a lot of room to buy items for my classroom. I would love to have something good and positive to happen this year for myself and my students.
As a homeschool family, we could use as many votes as possible. Recently moving and downsizing on home space, anything free has been a blessing. We need everybody to vote once a day and pray we are one of the lucky winners.
I am in my 7th year of teaching at a low-wealth school. Most of the children are from 1 parent homes. These children needs so many different thing which I can not afford for them. I have only 1 i-pad in my class, I use this to do testing on. I have plugs in my room that are 2 prong. I need more 3- prong plugs to all the electrical equipment. Any help would me greatly appreciated
I am a K/1 teacher in Compton, CA.We are a low income dist and need as much help as we can get.Teachers are putting much of our hard-earned paychecks into the classroom, rather than into our own budgets.I would love to be able to get these to use in my classroom and spark that love of learning these children so desperately need! Please vote for me and help me accomplish this goal.Thank you.

This opportunity would carry all 5 children most of the way through an above average High School education so that our financial resources could be focused on supplemental extracurricular activities!
There would be no limiting their personal curiosity fulfillment!
This has been a very trying year already. My husband has a chronic illness that came back into full force and now I am looking for work and I am trying my very hardest to support my husband and my children through this trying time. This would be a dream come true because I know that through the upcoming year my children's education will be paid for. Thanks so much!
We would love to update the collection but there is little to no funding and we rely mostly on donations. Currently our library has many outdated materials - some books are even from the 60s and 70s.
Jackson Street School is an amazing, multicultural, elementary school and we want all of our students to have access to the materials they deserve. Please vote for us!
I teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 school in a community that is high poverty. My students deserve to have supplies that will help prepare them for the next level academically and socially. With supplies on my wish lists I will be better equipped to provide engaging and meaningful opportunities for learning. It takes a village to help educate students in and outside the classroom.
I love teaching Pre-Kindergarten, but it can get very expensive! Teaching children how to care for things takes a toll on the classroom items. The money would be spent on books, learning toys, and classroom supplies that help the students have fun while learning. Thank you for your vote!
I work as a lead teacher in a preschool classroom. I work hard to provide my students with the most enriching learning experiences I can offer on my limited budget. My kiddos are bright, active and love to sing, dance and be creative. Every day I see them growing and becoming more school ready. I truly care about giving my class the best I can every day.
We work with some AMAZING middle school students. These hardworking individuals are very smart, but they process information differently than most people; my students deal with Learning Disabilities. We are going into our 4th year of homeschooling. So, in the fall we'll have an 8th, 6th, 4th, & 1st grader. That means 4 different grade levels, personalities, & learning styles. The kids really love math & science and really anything that involves STEM. It would be great to win our wish list to set up our classroom with more STEM curriculum!
I'm working as a behavior therapist and a teacher to kids with developmental delays, ASD and ADHD and I believe that toys, when used in an interactive, positive and fun way, are among the best tools in helping all children grow intellectually, socially and emotionally. SO please help me help these extraordinary students to become the empowered individuals they're ought to be by sending a vote. :)
Going back to 1st grade next year and this will truly help me out. I am teaching in a low socio economic area, and most of my salary gets to be spent on prep work or making my lessons more enhances. I am passionate about teaching and would love to see the smiles on my students faces when their lessons are more vibrant and detailed with the help of these resources.
I'm a homeschooling mom of two boys ages 8 and 6. I am also pregnant with our 4th child and I am struggling with ESRD (end stage renal disease) and have been on dialysis for four years. Homeschooling has been the best option for us due to my boys learning styles and personalities but it can be costly. Winning this contest would help us out greatly and remove at least one of the financial burdens.
I am a teacher in upstate New York. I currently teach 4th grade (this is my first year in fourth grade!). I have many great ideas that I would love to have in my classroom in order for students to be comfortable while working.
I am a 6th grade teacher, who has taught grades K-11 and understand the importance of a 21st century classroom. God bless Educents for making this contest available.
I run a Reggio-inspired early childhood development center in Park Ridge, New Jersey called The Valley School. I have always loved using a hands-on approach in the classroom, allowing for the children and teachers to experience things together and learn at the same time.
My awesome student's all have Autism. My goal is to build community around Autism while showcasing my students skills and abilities. Our school uses STEM lessons and activities to build social skills and Autism Awareness. Our class invites other classrooms to our room to share in learning about science, technology, engineering and math.
My classroom desperately needs a well equipped sensory room. I have used my own money to buy the few lights that we have in there. This $10,000 would help me equip my sensory room with the best of the best. We are a low income Title 1 school and funds are low. Please vote for me so that my kids with varying disabilities can get the sensory room that they deserve.
We are a homeschooling tribe with soon to be 6 little learners. We have been schooling with various things we locate over the internet, but to have a set classroom would be amazing!

Mrs Stoever teaches 2nd grade in a district that is severely underfunded. She has 25 kids in her class working with books that are outdated, computers that hardly work and limited classroom supplies. She continues to keep a positive attitude and deserves to be recognized for all she does for our kids.
I teach students age 7-11 in a self-contained special education class in a Title 1 school. Three-quarters of my students are at or below the poverty line. My students and I would love new materials for our classroom! Please consider voting for us.
My school is a high poverty school with 95% of the students on free and reduced lunches. Parents can't afford supplies, therefore I buy them. This leaves me little money for curriculum. Please support our students.
I'm a dedicated, devoted, innovative, creative, energetic PreK teacher! This is my 7th year of teaching and even though things are tough financially across the country, it's still the absolute best job I've ever had! I love spending time in my classroom even after the kids have gone home. I love trying to figure out new ways to organize my small classroom.
I have been home teaching my children for five years now. Currently I have a son and one daughter at home. My son if a very challenging learner which requires me to have more hands on and visual teaching tools. I would love to continue on home teaching my children. My homeschool is not just within the home either, I help teach a couple groups of amazing and intelligent homeschool kids that could use all the resources we can get our hands on. This is a great opportunity!
I have been teaching first grade for 6 years. I teach in a high poverty school. Many of my students have the opportunities that they do because of what I can provide them in the classroom. These are only 2 of the children I work with : My 17 year old son (Yes, this is recent!) and my 9 year old niece. Both are special needs and eager to learn! My niece can not read. She truly needs lots of 1-on-1 and my sister has asked to take her on again. We just need lots of resources to help her learn while having fun.
We are just starting out on this Homeschool adventure (we've been at it for just over a year), and we have a long way to go. I absolutely love teaching these girls at home, but the curriculum, materials and supplies can get pretty expensive. It would be terrific to win some of these great resources to help me out. You can vote every day to increase my chances of winning. Thanks!
My classroom isn't typical --my kids climb trees, stomp in puddles, play with worms, and take apart clocks as a practical way to explore their world. That is the life of a homeschooler, and if I win this contest, a portion of the winnings will go to the Westman Homeschool Connection for their lending library and the rest towards classroom/play area upgrades.
People should vote for me because I have a 3 and 5 yr old that are full of thought and imagination that I am afraid they would lose in the test happy public schools system. I cannot afford parochial school and I am doing my best to teach them at home.
I am thrilled to join the dual immersion staff at Jamestown Elementary School. This is a new program that is the first of it's kind in Tuolumne County. First and second grade students from different backgrounds will be learning in both English and Spanish. I am a retired Special Education teacher who dreamed of constructing a Preschool/Daycare environment to identify children's needs prior to Ktg, Meeting those needs requires accessing numerous resources to support the acquisition of skills needed to be successful in school. With your help and support, I hope to fulfill my mission to "build a solid foundation for a child's future."
In this day and age of testing, testing and more testing, I try to squeeze in activities that are developmentally appropriate for my kindergarten friends. I believe that it is so important to create a love of learning at this age. If we can make that happen, then they will be more successful. Help me get the hands on materials that our schools will not purchase for us anymore!!!

While I've been a learning support teacher for 12 years, this is my first year as an autistic support teacher. I teach in an inner city school and I've spent about $1000 of my own money so far this year. I hope you'll vote for me!!!

My classroom is the school library. This space serves the entire school. Here students create in a MakerSpace, & seek out quiet work areas with comfortable seating for reading. Students collaborate on technology as they learn to navigate digital content & print resources. My dream space would accommodate all needs & create an open, inviting atmosphere that benefits all students.

While not every day starts with smiles, we enjoy learning in an atmosphere that builds on our strengths and strengthens our weaknesses.
We have lots of learning before us with our journey in homeschooling just starting.
Help us provide these (and any additional) kiddos with environment filled with what they need!

If we had the money we would indulge more in all of their curiosities such as science experiments and a greenhouse where they can see God's wonderful creation grow right before their eyes. We decided to homeschool so that we can give our children the best education we can and the most of our attention as we can.

MY CLASS IS A FAMILY! :D Teaching in a combined classroom for the first time; 2nd/3rd grade, has been a new challenge for me, but the hardest part is keeping students engaged in independent learning time while I work with other students. With lack of funding, I find myself spending more to make my classroom what I envisioned. My dream is to keep the fun flowing for those independent learners! :)
I am passionate about students becoming all that they can be, no matter their circumstances. I want to give them experiences they will always cherish in our classroom. Our school Lady of Grace Preschool is a community-serving institution, one of the few in the area that combines a strong Christian foundation with high-caliber academics. We count on our community for support; we are not a state-funded institution. We would be delighted to earn the support of others to continue to expand our academic offerings for many years to come.
I am not a mother by nature as i have no kids of my own, but my kids at my school own me body, spirit and soul. They are such little oaks of righteousness and soak up every encouragement, instruction and question with such passion and zeal. They deserve your votes--not me, but them because i believe in them, who they are and who they can be--help me build that bridge

I teach at a Title 1 school in a Title 1 district. I teach second grade and have the inclusion class. Many of my students come from single parent families. Many of my students's parents work more than one job. I would like to have flexible seating for my students next year. This would include standing desks, low tables with pillows, tables with wobble seats as well as other types of seating.
I teach Enrichment to 3-5 yr old children at a small catholic school. Enrichment is part of our preschool program for children who are enrolled all day. I teach a lot of science, we dissected a cow eye today! The students love learning about cultures so we have, "World Wednesday" when we visit a new country in our pretend airplane. These supplies will help to elevate their learning experience.
We are just finishing our first year of homeschooling and it was the best decision we ever made for our son. He struggled in school with learning disabilities, anxiety and just falling though the cracks. Now I can teach him in the ways that he learns best - with a hands-on approach. It has been amazing to see how far he has come in the first year and we look forward to the future!
Hello, how can you put a persuasive story in 400 characters? Much like everyone else, education is so important to our family. Homeschool chose us, we used public for a short amount of time, it did not work for us.the school nurse failed to follow instruction given to her by a medical specialish which lead us to home school our family of 4.
EXTRA, EXTRA, EXTRA-read it first here-PLAY is IMPORTANT TOO We are often times so focused on testing, data, and test scores that play is neglected. I will use the carefully selected items to support and encourage open-ended, hands-on play! My children want to PLAY and need these items to help facilitate a new hands-on learning experience.
Thank you for your consideration in voting for my class! My school is in a low economic are and we do not qualify for Title 1 funds. Thanks again for your consideration.
I teach Graphic Design, Photography and other arts to high school students, who are taking an art class for the first time in their lives. I would like my class to be more comprehensive & have enough supplies for all my students.

My dream classroom is a place where children feel safe and encourages them to learn by using their imagination and curiosity to unravel their full potential. Having these items in my classroom will give them the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities that are engaging, entertaining and meaningful while learning at the same time. This is my idea of a "Dream Classroom"
Our classroom is in a rural school from a farming community. We do not have buses so everyone walks. We are a single district and do not have the resources that bigger districts can afford. Our families are hard working down to earth people. As a second grade we do all we can to allow them the things they do not have the privilege of at home.
I work in the classroom at Children's Hospital of Illinois. We tutor hospitalized children and provide school supplies & new books to our kiddos. We would appreciate your help in providing opportunities for our students!
It is exciting to see students who were reluctant even thinking about the dissections in Biology now wanting to have a career in a related field because they were given the opportunity to study in such a hands-on way.
I'd like to have resources for students to enhance their study and delve deeper into fields they enjoy. Because we have a library for our co-op, we store and reuse the materials.

I have been a teacher for 21 years. I have always worked in title 1 schools. Each year we have to prioritize what we can buy and always put off the "extras" until we get a donation or I just spend my own money. That still only provides a little bit more, not everything the children should have. I would love to provide my students with as much as they deserve - the world!

This funding would help us achieve that.
I have just started homeschooling my 13 year old son Harvey, who after a term at high school was feeling under pressure and completely overwhelmed at the pace of school. He has dyspraxia and speech delay which means the messages from the brain to his hands i.e. motor skills are very slow. Harvey's mental wellbeing and happiness is paramount to me. We would ABSOLUTELY LOVE it if we won. Thanksx

Our school library that serves 330 students is simply a former classroom. We need additional shelves and some comfortable seating to make the space more inviting to students. Being a small, rural K-8 school the closest book store is an hour away creating a welcoming space is important to helping students engage in reading for pleasure.
I work in a school who has a wonderful and very deserving group of children. Coupled with the children we have a tireless administration and faculty and staff who go over and above to get the money to fund the needs of the school. We are moving toward a technological society and we are using antiquated equipment that
does not allow the students to reach their optimal potential.
I am moving almost 2,000 miles away from my friends and family to teach first grade this August. I know that funding is low in Arizona and want to have as many manipulatives and supplies to help my students learn. I can only put so much of my own money into my room, and having my wishlist granted would help immensely! Thank you for considering voting for my room!
If you can take a minute to vote for us we would really appreciate it! We would love to win and stock our classroom for next year. There are so many fun things we want to learn about and would love to have these supplies to make it easier. Games, videos, and hands on experiments make learning more fun and it sticks with the kids when they do it themselves. Thank you!
