Double Digit Subtraction Practice - Get your class up and moving while practicing basic double digit subtraction! This is a fun Scoot game and/or task card math center in a cupcake theme! It's a great way to practice math skills as a whole class activity or in math tubs for small group use. Simply set out a numbered card at each desk or post the cards around the room. Students scoot about completing the math problems and rotating to the next task card when signaled. Children write the answer to each problem on the recording sheet provided.
This can also be used for fast finishers.
The printables in the file have been created both in black and white and in color for your printing needs.
Here's what's included: ~directions ~30 cards (some can be omitted for a smaller class) ~answer key ~recording sheet (30 boxes or 24 boxes)
The activity is best suited for first grade or second grade students who are working on 2-digit subtraction without regrouping.
Common Core Standards:
CCSS.Math.Content.2.NBT.B.5 Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
