Engage students in learning the states and capitals as they play Old Maid, Concentration and Go Fish. Old Maid, Concentration and Go Fish can all be played with the same set of cards. Take out the “Old Maid” card for Concentration and Go Fish.
**I have placed the name and graphic on both cards. This ensures that students make the right matches and helps my Special Education students be successful in play games with general education students.
**At times I have broken this game into two sets to make it more manageable for my struggling students…my gifted students love the challenge of all 50 states and capitals…you can decide for yourself.
**I also have pulled out just the cards we are studying for each region then I put them all together after we have learned all of the states and capitals.
This game includes:
*Instruction for Old Maid, Concentration and Go Fish
*Old Maid card
*100 playing cards
(50 cards have state name and clipart)
(50 cards have capital, state name and clipart)
