Sight Words ( Match & Write)
This is a fun way to help your students learn 100 high frequency sight words. This resource includes 50 pages of sight word cards. Each page includes 4 sight word cards including 2 sight words with matching cards. Each pair of sight words has a matching random color graphic on each card. For example, two cards have the sight word “the” with matching graphics (swinging monkey with heart). Each card also includes a writing area with dotted lines so that students can practice writing each sight word after matching them. Matches can be found using a small group of students , a whole class, a pair of students , or individually.
**To see all pages included, please be sure to take a look at the preview.
To use: Print each page on cardstock, laminate for durability and for reuse of cards so that they can be written on with a wipe off marker and wiped off for future uses. Cut out cards and put them in a literacy center or use as a whole class as words are introduced.
You can decide which words to use at any time as you introduce new words and review words. You can use as a whole class activity and have students find their matching partner using the sight word and graphic included on each card as a visual clue. Pairs or small groups of students can play concentration (memory) as they find matching cards. After matches are made, students can use a wipe-off marker (if cards are laminated) and practice writing each sight word. Cards can also be used as an individual set, storing one set of cards for other (future) uses, in a literacy center /writing center for students to practice writing the words or for students to use to write sentences with each word.
The following 100 words are included on the cards:

About the Seller
I am a kindergarten teacher with 22 years of teaching experience! I received my Doctor of Education degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University in June 2010. The title of my doctoral study is "Writing Conferences in Kindergarten: Using Feedback to Enhance Student Writing." My passion is teaching writing to my students and providing feedback for their writing experiences. I love teaching kindergarten. It is amazing to see students enter the classroom not even knowing how to hold a pencil and watching them become readers and writers by the end of the year. I love teaching in small groups and rotating student groups with literacy centers and math centers.
