About Times Tales
Trigger Memory Co. is owned and operated by Jennie von Eggers & Marillee Flanagan, sisters. They have been in business since 2003. They are two homeschool moms that were looking for an opportunity to help kids and have a small business. Jennie von Eggers created the stories for Times Tales in 2003 as a quick way for her two grade school boys to learn their upper times tables. She got tired of the same old boring flashcards. Very excited about this, with a few negative details

Overall these videos have been amazing for my kids, aged 7, 9, and 13. They enjoy watching them, despite the poor graphics, and they've actually helped with their fast multiplication and division facts. However, we have had trouble with a few of the facts. As Canadians, they have no clue that 55 mph is the standard speed limit, and therefore "Mrs Week and Mrs Snowman were driving 1 mile over the speed limit," doesn't really mean anything to them. To them, that's 7x8=1, not 7x8=56. Why not just say that they were going 56 mph?
Also, some of the memorization stories contain numbers that aren't in the equation, and my very literal high-functioning aspergers son gets tripped up with these. For example, the two sixth grade classes play each other in soccer, and the score is 3 to 6. He understands that as 2x6=36. I have to rephrase it for him as the sixth grade class played another sixth grade class, and the score was 3 to 6. There are three or four stories like that, mostly in unit 2, and they've caused us some problems.
Overall though, I wish I'd bought this years ago. It's a really weird system that surprisingly works.

Easy Fun Learning

My kiddo hates practicing math facts and has been really slow to learn multiplication. Within one week his recollection of these facts has improved drastically. This is SO much better than the normal repetitive drilling.

Absolutely Love It!

It's been 2 years since I started using Zone Cleaning with my kids and they STILL love it! It's absolutely perfect and I like the download version because you can put it together however you like, or make copies for each kid in your family. I definitely recommend laminating them or putting them in sheet protectors.

Is there a better way?

I've used similar products and my kids have ended up hating timed-tests. There has to be a better way.
