Rounding Task Cards. These rounding task cards are a great way to review rounding to the nearest ten and hundred.

These 32 task cards are a great way to review with students the math common core standard 3.NBT.1 for rounding to the nearest ten and the nearest hundred. These cards provide opportunities for students to round both small and large numbers. Additionally the answer sheet provides for students to do both, rounding to the nearest ten and nearest hundred.

These cards can be used in several different ways such as in small groups, in partners, individually, as homework, in a game of “scoot,” or as a math center. Students can respond on the provided sheet or on notebook paper. Students can then check their answers on the provided answer key.

These task cards provide more detail when printed in color, however they can be printed in grayscale to save on ink. It is recommended that they are printed, cut, and laminated for repeated use.

I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors in Science degree and an elementary education certificate. I am certified to teach K-8 Self-Contained and Middle School Science. I have taught ever since graduation, with most of my experience in 5th grade. I'm currently completing my Masters program in Differentiation.  I utilize a lot of differentiated strategies along with the workshop model in reading, writing, math, and sometimes science. I love more hands-on activities that are related to real life for students to explore. I'm not a huge fan of worksheets, but do use them occasionally.
