Vocabulary: Picture dictionary with content and academic vocabulary
Analyze and discuss: “I Read Closely,” “I Read and Understand,” and an oral close reading activity
Learn and apply: “Words I Know” and “I Read a Fable” (genre activity)
Respond: “I Think About the Plot” and “I Can Write”
