We did a little Q & A with one of our awesome Bloggers Alyssa from Arts and Crackers to get to know the lady behind the computer screen! Take a look at some of the funny answers we got:
Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would you do?
A: I would love to learn how to play the harp. Ever since I was little I was always trying new instruments, but the harp was just too expensive. I did have a friend who played professionally and she let me try it out, but I’d love to have my own and become proficient!
Q: What inspires you?
A: I draw inspiration from everything around me–my kids, my husband, the carpet, the recycle bin; in fact, most times I cannot turn my brain off. I have a notebook I actually call “my brain” so that I can write down ideas that pop into my head while looking at food at the grocery store, watching my brilliant boys play, and of course when I’m trying to get to sleep.
Q: What chore do you strangely(or not strangely) love doing?
A: I actually love washing the dishes. Of course, it is a chore in and of itself just deciding to go wash them, but once I’m started I find it therapeutic. I sing the entire time I’m working and it’s just a blast plus I love the satisfaction of washing them myself and seeing the counter free of dirty dishes.
Q: Where is Waldo?
A: In front of our house. My husband has a fascination with station wagons (1989 Grand Marquis wagons) because he grew up with one. He decided to buy one and it sticks out so we decided to name it Waldo. It’s always fun having people come up and tell us where they spotted his car. I’m seriously tempted to paint on red and white stripes.

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: When I grew up I wanted to be anything and everything…except a teacher. My original goals for my career were to be an interior designer and clothing designer and business owner. I’ve always been into writing, inventing, beautifying…now I find myself as a mother, writer, cook, home designer, graphic designer, nurse…the list goes on. I’d have to say I feel I’ve accomplished all of my childhood goals just by being a mom and I even ended up throwing teacher in there as I teach my kids daily!
