ASIAN MATH FOR TEST PREP

Educated in Asia and certified to teach in the States, I  have seen how American children have struggled with math. No, it is not our children's problem: we, as educators, should provide what the children need to accelerate in math.

Asian students learn the same math as American students do, then what is the difference between them that makes Asian students excel in math? Let me tell you: it is the application of what they have learned: American students learned but  have not been trained enough to apply what they have learned. When students cannot apply what they have learned, they have not grasped what they have learned, so many of them are struggling with math. What is application of what the students have learned? For math, most times, it is to solve specific math problems.

In my store, I provide worksheets and math problems that Asian schools use to train their students. Every problem in the worksheets has a detailed explanation.

If  you have studied the standardized math tests, you must have found out that many math problems are on applications of the math concepts. The application can only be trained through drilling on different types of math problems.
