NO PREP.....PARTY TIME.....Color, Count, Tally and Do

This fun engaging math activity will get your students ready to analyze all things party related and graph them according. Students will also need to follow directions to determine how many items are listed and complete activities. These activities will get your students counting, adding, and subtracting in no time. All pages are for 8.5x11 copy paper. Looking to enlarge for the differentiated learner, with fine motor/gross motor skill, set your copy machine to 130% and use 12x18 paper, coloring will be so much easier. 

Included in this resource are TWO different counting boards. Numbers to 5 AND Numbers to 10. Numbers to 5 activities are listed first in this download. 

Graphing Page-- (2 versions for both counting mats) Students will graph each item they counted from the first page. (Numbers to 5 and Numbers to 10)

Addition and Subtraction Activities--2 versions for both counting mats Students are required to count the items and then write the corresponding number from the first page to determine the answer. Also included are differentiated word problems and problems the students can create. 

Differentiated Money Work- Students are required to look at the price of each party item and determine if they have enough to buy it. 

Number Recognition- Match the numeral and number word with the correct party items. (Numbers to 5 only)

This activity covers Common Core Standards for Measurement and Data, Operations, for grades K-2.

I have been teaching in public schools for the last 14 years.  I began teaching general education and saw how students with special needs touched my heart more.  Wanting to focus my time to help the struggling student succeed, I began to teach special education. I have since switched to teach special education self-contained and also students who are homeschooled with various needs.
