Sometimes the hardest part of writing is just beginning. For this little booklet I’ve put together ninety writing prompts to help get your students started. That gives them enough to do a bit of writing every day for three months, or every school day for one semester.
The idea here is to ignite their imagination, and get them writing! Half a page is given for each day. It isn’t necessary for them to fill each section, but I didn’t want them to be in the middle of a great thought and run out of room.
You and your students may use the prompts any way that strikes you – they can write part of a funny story, or a sad or mysterious one...or make a few notes for any direction it points them in. The important thing is for them to write, and to do it regularly! And if you/they don’t like the prompt I provided for the day, feel free to write your own or skip around!
