Recommendations for using this unit:
Full page versions: Print and put in a sleeve protector. Keep your book in a binder.
½ page versions: Print, cut in half on the line, reorganize, and staple into a booklet form. Student can keep them with this in all their classes.
Customizable versions: After reading the original version, guide the student through customizing a book with their own feelings. Talk them through drawing their own facial expressions. Spend time in front of a mirror practicing facial expressions.
Behavior contracts: use these to set goals, incentivize your students, and record data for Behavior Intervention Plans, IEP, or simply reporting to parents.
Award certificate: use to reward students for achieving their goal.
Classroom wall poster: post somewhere visible to remind your student even when you are not around or print 4/page, laminate, and use as a desk card
About the Seller
We are sisters-in-law and best friends with a passion for making education accessible for all kids. We wanted an excuse to spend time together so we have pooled our experience, our passions, and our talents to start a business selling the products we create for our students. Together we have 13 years of experience working with students with special needs in the K-5th grade classrooms. At first we created Reading/Math products for our resource students, but eventually we found our true niche in social story units. The unit have a teaching story, a fill-in-the-blank story for personalization, incentive cards, application games/worksheets, discussion starters, behavior charts, achievement awards, etc. Each unit has different EXTRAS so read the descriptions carefully! We write them with the teachers in mind, giving you tools to collect data to use on IEPs and BIPs.
