Product Description

The sorting series has a new addition! Lincoln loves things that GO. And he also loves playing with his big sister’s learning materials. The Counting Series of manipulatives are just a bit too small for him (a mouth explorer!) So I decided it was time to add a Toddler-friendly set to be used on their own or with the Color Sorting Bowls (sold separately). This has already proven to inspire a treasure trove of new pretend-play ideas from my six year old who likes to put the cups in a muffin tin and use these colorful spheres as muffin tops. My three year old pretends they are scoops of ice cream. And when left to enjoy the rainbow of 6 by themselves, my little engineers constructed ramps out of paper and cardboard to roll, slide, and spill these colorful balls to the floor. They are sturdy enough for little hands to fiddle with and durable enough to go sliding and gliding across the floor. Each ball measures 2” in diameter and is painted with a nontoxic, soy based, watercolor wash so you can still see the beautiful grain of the wood. Each set comes with 6 balls; one each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and is lightly sealed with a combination of beeswax and jojoba oil. On a Roll is collected in a muslin pouch for easy storage and tote-ability.

About the Seller

Mama May I
(7 Reviews)

Mama May i's handmade learning toys blend the best of developmental psychology and design to offer a unique learning through play experience.

Founder and principle designer, Jessica Perkins, has been creating for as long as she can remember, originally helping her mama with her handmade toy store over 20 years ago. With the birth of her children, and all the new little people in her life, Jessica found herself searching for toys that met her educational and design standards.

Inspired by these little explorers, and her understanding of Montessori and Waldorf methodologies, Jessica Perkins began making all of her creations with the belief that children make sense of their world through sensing their world. After years of making, creating, and gifting her creations to friends and family, Jessica decided to start selling her goodies. Since the launch of Mama May i in 2009, Jessica's passion for artistic expression through toys has blossomed into a business supported by mama's and papa's all over the world.

With this learning through play philosophy in mind, Mama May i encourages kids, both big and small, to dive in, make a splash, a scribble, or an inquisitive fiddle on the memories we share together.
