You will be sure to engage your students with this 76 page activity based unit on the states of matter.
Included in this unit are: 12 descriptive vocabulary wall cards that feature real photos 4 print and go activity sheets 6 interactive notebook activities to get your students engaged and thinking about the science concepts (physical properties of matter, states of water, mini-flip book for notes, particles in matter, describing the states of matter). 24 task cards (one set with background, one without background, and a different set in b&w) (solid, liquid, or gas) 1 recording sheet for task cards and 2 different sorting mats for task cards. 6 passages about solids, liquids, and gases with corresponding comprehension questions. (leveled for differentiation). Bubble Bomb Experiment: includes real photos, directions, student lab response sheets, and a student writing prompt. Moving Water Molecules Experiment: includes real photos, directions, and student lab response sheets. Liquid to Solid Bouncing Ball Experiment: includes real photos, directions, and a student lab response sheets.
Note this product was updated to include a Pepper Water Surface Tension Experiment and lab response sheets for younger students. These sheets provide a place to draw the responses. Each lab response sheet was updated to be used as an interactive notebook page. If pages are too large for your notebook, simply fold in half and glue one half into notebook after the response is recorded. A word bank for responding to the hypothesis and conclusion portion of the lab sheets was added to each experiment. This addition increases the differentiation of the product.
