Ask The Seller
I have a child who is allergic to latex. Is there a way to substitute the balloon (Air) for something he can use?
Asked by a Parent on October 8th, 2016
The experiment that uses the balloon, can only be done with a balloon that deflates. Not sure about the severity of your child's allergies, but the experiment that uses the balloon could be easily done as a demonstration by someone else and still be a lot of fun. I hope this helped. We have done the Magic School Bus Volcano kit. Are the kits in this club similar to that one in contents? Also is there a possibility of having them all shipped at once?
Asked by a Homeschooler and Parent on October 5th, 2016
Our retail kits are different than the subscription kits in that they contain more experiments and more supplies. The Magic School Bus science club is a great deal at $120 since that includes 12 different kits and shipping, so only $10 per kit. You can contact us at [email protected] or call 1-800-964-1320 to request that all your kits are shipped at once. We hope this answered your question. The Young Scientists Club team

I was looking through the little pamphlet that was in my kit and it is listing a couple of kits that I am interested in but does not look like they are included in the Club. Jumping into Electricity & Diving into Slime, Gel, and Goop. Do these need to be purchased separately?
Asked by a Homeschooler on October 2nd, 2016
Yes, these are our retail kits. You can buy these as single items on our website at www.theyoungscientistsclub.com or Educents offers some great discounts on bundles of 5 Magic School Bus kits, Nature Bundle, and Science/Math game bundles.

Hello! I have two children and they will both be using this kit. Do I need to order supplemental materials for the extra child? Thank you :)
Asked on September 26th, 2016
The majority of our families order one kit per family and the children share/take turns/work as a team when they do the experiments. We suggest to start with one subscription and if you decide you need another subscription after the first kit arrives, you can always do so at a later time. We hope this answered your question. Is it possible to send the first kit in Jan.2017? I would like to give this as a Christmas present to my grandson.
Asked on September 18th, 2016
Yes, you can do this but check with Educents if they can hold your order until then or order after October 15th, when you will have the option of a January ship date.

These kits are quite thin, but they are good for the price. I thought my kids would enjoy them now but they are a bit too advanced for them (age 4.5); I am putting them aside until the kids are older.

I used this with my own classroom. Was a bit disappointed that I needed to purchase additional materials. The slime ball was one of the better experiments. So far so good.

My kids absolutely love these kits. You definitely need to buy extra supplies, but for $10/month, I would expect that. The extra supplies needed aren't expensive and you don't absolutely need to buy extra supplies for all of the experiments so it is up to you on how much extra you want to spend.

We bought these kits almost a year ago and my kids have been loving them. Each month they arrive, the kids get extremely excited to get together the materials to do the experiments. It's true that you do have to buy a few materials for some of the experiments, but I understand that, given the price point. At $10/month, I don't expect everything to be included for 10-15+ experiments. It gives a good outline and the kids enjoy understanding what is needed to make everything work. I would recommend this to a friend.

I also agree that I wish all materials were included. We do not drink soda so I'll have to make a special purchase to get a two liter bottle and ton cans - and probably dump
Whatever's inside down the drain. Kids are enjoying the experiements though!
