Needed solution to math for my daughters
    Mar 01, 2017

This approach to math is highly conducive to my daughters' style of learning. My 8th grader is thrilled to find something that makes sense of Algebra to her. My 3rd grader is loving it too.

These resources might not be for every student. However, if you're having trouble finding something for a struggling math student, especially if he or she is an excellent reader, this is your solution.

    It Clicked

My son (who loves and has always excelled in math) got to a point in his Algebra I curriculum (Saxon) where it just didn't "click" anymore and I was struggling to help him find a replacement. After talking with my sister in law about Life of Fred, I decided to give it a try. He loves it - and not only that - he UNDERSTANDS the concepts completely. I've since switched all three of my boys to the LOF math curriculum and they're all eating it up!

    High School Math, done differently!
    Jan 25, 2017

This curriculum is great for problem solvers, those that love reading, and kids who just want to laugh. I love when my kids ask to do extra math just to find out what is happening in the story. I love the emphasis on Cities rather than tests. I love FRED!

Life of Fred, understandable, fun, and affordable

My kids have not yet gotten to this level in life of Fred, but because we live overseas, i ordered ahead. The books are great. My husband who has a degree in pure mathematics looked through them, and was really impressed. I wish I had something like this when i was in school to make math fun for me instead of tear jerking (i studied Saxon math).

My girls have never liked math because it does not come easily for them. I ordered Life of Fred Alg. 1 as review for them this summer. They like the fun and easy way it is presented and are understanding math more clearly. They agreed that they had fun with math for the first time ever! Now I can't wait for them to use the Alg. 2 and Chemistry books this year along with their reg. curriculum in their classes at school. It should be a big help if they don't understand a concept.
