This is a cool set of Dolch Pre-Primer Sight Words file folder games. There are six games included in this set for a lot of fun while practicing sight words! All 40 words are covered.
Who is it for?
- Kindergarteners (5 to 6-year-olds)
- 1st Graders (6 to 7-year-olds)
- Beginning readers
Each of the file folder games comes in color and black and white. They are designed to be assembled into a file folder (though the file folders aren't included). Each game comes with the following
- Cover for the front of the file folder
- 2 game board pages that are glued into the file folder
- Directions to attach to the back of the folder
- 4 frog themed playing pieces
- 1 eight sided die
- 1 spinner
To play each game, students will either roll the die or the spinner. They will read the word that is spun or rolled. Then they will move to the square nearest to them that has the word on it. If they roll a lily pad then they hop to the nearest lily pad. The first person to reach the big lily pad at the end wins the game! Each game covers 7 words for easy introduction or practice. This is especially useful if your children need to practice specific sight words because these games give them more practice of the specific words then a game that uses all 40 words.
