This activity goes with the book Killer Whales by Seymour Simon. Students will read the book through one time without stopping. They will go back to the book and read it page by page to answer the questions. The pages in the book are not numbered, so page one of the activity questions starts on the first page of the actual text in the book. The questions focus on basic reading comprehension skills but with added text reference for deeper understanding.
This activity goes well with my informational text unit. It also goes well with a reading unit about animals, mammals, and sea creatures.
