About the Seller
A wife, a mother, a reading specialist!
I graduated from Longwood College in 1997 and spent the first 14 years of my career as an educator in third and fourth grade classrooms. I loved teaching children, but my passion has always been with teaching reading.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with my Masters in Reading in May 2010 and waited patiently for the moment when I could do what I do most and help struggling readers learn to read! In 2011, that dream came true! Now I spend my days as a reading specialist working with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade as they learn to overcome reading difficulties and work to become stronger readers.
In 2012, I began my blogging journey where I highlight books, ideas, and my days in the classroom. You can visit my blog Reading Toward the Stars to learn more about my life as a reading specialist.
