Product Description

This product contains foldable novel study trifolds for the book Frindle. Designed to be used whole-class, small group, or as an individual book study. Each section of the foldable trifold focuses on a different essential reading comprehension skill and aligns with state and Common Core standards. The purpose of this product is to provide a fun, easy way to support your language arts curriculum.

Now you can teach challenging reading comprehension skills through novels without having to spend all those hours preparing for literature circles or book clubs. Rest assured your learners are developing stronger text analysis and critical thinking skills with these Frindle novel study activities.

This no fluff novel study format engages learners, but it doesn't overwhelm your readers with countless chapter questions that just require them to regurgitate the text. Instead, each day's lesson targets one key comprehension skill essential for reading success. The entire day's lesson can be just focused on building that skill, which has been carefully aligned to state and Common Core standards.

When it comes time to respond, learners are asked to use critical thinking skills and combine their own thoughts and opinions with the text to go beyond just a basic understanding of the plot.

Product Contents:

• 3 foldable novel study trifolds

• 3 page instructional guide with daily reading, lesson focus, academic vocabulary, and chapter vocabulary neatly outlined for easy planning

About the Seller

The Third Wheel Teacher
(4 Reviews)

Hi!

My name is Rebecca, and I am the busy teacher-momma behind The Third Wheel. With a four year old and two year old at home, my hands are full trying to maintain a balance between all those things I have to get done for work and all the things I want and need to do to keep things running smoothly at home.

Education is my passion, and I love being a student and a teacher. After getting my third masters degree, I am taking a little break from my own formal education. However, I still try to learn something new each day, just like I ask my students to do.

One of the biggest things I always try to think about how I can make the learning stick through engaging activities that don't require a ton of prep work or supplies. My passion is to help teachers and home school families make preparing fun, engaging learning opportunities easier so they can spend more time focused on the rest of what life has to offer.
