Teaching fractions using chocolate bars is so much fun! Using real candy bars can be messy! These printable chocolate bar manipulatives, worksheets/workmats are just the thing you need to bring some chocolate fun into your fractions unit!
This packet includes all of the printables you need to have your class partition rectangles (candy bars) and model fractions of a whole in halves, thirds and fourths.
There are also many posters that may be used as teaching tools or displays. The posters contain a fraction symbol and the word form for each.
Also included are the pages needed to create a cute foldable lift the flap book.
Center activities for working with fractions have candy pieces and work mats. A matching card set (10 pair) may be used as a math center or for your fast finishers.
One challenge page for equivalent fractions is included for those students who may be ready to make that connection. Other pages for differentiation are also included.
