Print, laminate, and cut out these adorable task cards to help your students practice addition and subtraction word problems. Students are given two variables they must create a subtraction or addition word problem from and then solve that word problem.
These can be used during whole group instruction, small group activities, or as individual practice. These task cards really make students think about how to construct a word problem. For example, with the subtraction problems, they have to consider which number has to be subtracted from which number. This product also requires students to think about key words to use in their word problem that will help them identify whether or not they need to subtract or add when answering word problems.
