This easy prep game is a fun way to practice reading short vowel words that begin with consonant blends. Just print the cards and cut them apart - no other supplies are needed! Math skills come into play here, too, since your students will be adding the numbers on the football players' jerseys, working to collect cards that total twenty. The Twist: If a player gets a "Flag on the Play!" card, he must return all of his cards to the draw pile.

This game will be a great addition to your Word Work centers, or even your math centers- double duty! Enjoy your freebie!
