★ As a Special Education teacher, I always end up spending out of my own pocket because my students have so many different needs. This packet will require spending some money, but as you probably already know, there are ways around that. We can ask our fellow teachers, our friends, our family, and even look in our own homes for items that we may already have. I encourage you to do that before going out and spending your money.
This Unit is on The Five Senses of Christmas. It is for students who are visually impaired, have multiple disabilities, sensory learners, students on the lower end of the autism spectrum, etc. I'm sure many of these activities could be used in a preschool environment.
Here is what is included:
★ Suggestions for Working with Visually Impaired Students
★ Book in a Box (a book I made using suggested objects about the five senses - Christmas themed)
★ Book in a Box Suggestions (The Sweet Smell of Christmas by Patricia M. Scarry)
★ Activities for All Five Senses - crafts, small group activities, sensory bin ideas, exploration ideas, active learning board (peg board and elastic) ideas, ideas for independent learning (centers)
♥ Thank you for your business, and happy holidays to you and your family! Amanda
About the Seller
Hi! My name is Amanda. I enjoy my job as a Special Education teacher, and I teach a self-contained classroom. I work with students with multiple disabilities, autism, visual impairment, and other disabilities. It's a blessing and very rewarding to watch my students progress in their learning! I spend a lot of time creating lessons for my students for their individualized needs. Making lessons has become a hobby of mine. I've been told that many of the lessons I create can be used in ESL classrooms, preschool and other regular education classrooms. I am a Christian, wife, and mother of 3 teens!
