This is a REALLY fun way to practice reading sight words. Print, cut, and play. Lay the fish flat on the floor. You can decide if you want to lay them face up or face down. I find if I lay them face up, students keep practicing them when it is not there turn (extra reading J) They can just fish for a word with their hand, read the word, and record it on the recording sheet. OR if you are a super fun teacher, put paper clips on the fish, Tie a magnet to a string tied to a ruler, and you have a fishing pole to fish with. You WILL be the coolest teacher ever if you do this! I even made a small pond with blue paper.
