    Inaccuracies
    Oct 17, 2016

I've only just started this book with my kids, but there is a huge inaccuracy on only the second activity. It is called "Looking at a Map", and it defines a map right at the top of the page: "A map is a drawing of a place from above". Then it has a huge picture below followed by questions about the picture; but the picture is NOT a map, it is a drawing of a building from the front, not from above.
I am hoping the book improves as we continue, but at this point I've put it on hold because it requires a higher level of reading than my kids have.

This book is pretty easy for him to do and understand. He gets that there are 2 pages per day, and often wants to do more. I like the variety of activities, and simplicity of this book.

This is a very nice art resource

This is a very nice art resource (nice for the children and nice for the parent/teacher).

For the children, it offers creative assignments, and gives instruction in technique. For the teacher, it's easy to use, and you don't have to be particularly artistic.

Using this as part of our summer studies and the kids love it! I add on group activities, tabletops (manipulative type work) and individual work as I have 4 kids ranging from 5 to 12. I love that part of their studies are already planned out for me! Great review work and challenging enough for my 12 year old!

I love that part of their studies are already planned out for me! The amount of daily work is just right for my very active 5 year old!
