Directions: Divide the cards into two stacks (one stack of the number sentence cards and one stack for the answer cards). Distribute the stack of answer cards evenly to players. Players should leave their cards face up in front of them. The other stack of cards should be placed in a pile face down in front of the teacher or “caller.” The teacher flips over a card, one at a time, and calls out the number sentence on the card. Players look at their cards for the difference of the subtraction sentence given. If the player has the answer, he/she should slap the card and say “Poof!” If correct, the cards are matched and set aside. The first player to “poof” all of his/her cards is the winner.
