Product Description

Pinky and Dr. Bonyfide are back to present the 66 bones of the pelvis and lower extremities. Using engaging activities, mnemonics, riddles, and beautiful visuals, our characters present anatomy concepts along with a cast of acrobats, trapeze artists, and clowns. Besides learning the names of the bones from the hipbone to the phalanges, our goal with this book is to inspire self-confidence in young people from the inside out. We help kids on their adventure to get to know how their bodies work.

Designed for young readers, this colorful workbook makes learning the names and functions of the bones easy. It is presented by Dr. Bonyfide, a skeleton professor, and his friend Pinky Le Darpals. They take readers on a whimsical, step-by-step journey through the bones of the foot, leg, and pelvis.

Besides helping kids learning vocabulary and anatomy processes, this book helps kids gain essential knowledge of their bodies, with the ultimate goal to inspire self-confidence from the inside out.

This book is the second of a series of four books that explore the bones of the human body.

My kids were so excited to get this in the mail. My 5 year old grabbed it and sat down and paged through it as soon as I got it out of the mailer.

This book is a great approach to learning what can be a very difficult and dry vocabulary. It presents human physiology in an extremely fun way which can be accessed by students of all ages. Adults will enjoy it as much as younger students. My neighbor, who is an x-ray technician felt this would be a great addition to every radiology center. This is Book 2 of what is turning into a great series. I see incredible potential for school systems, health programs as well as medical offices. This will inspire a generation of children to help them know themselves and be better consumers of health information.

Our Founder

Nancy Howes founded Know Yourself in 2014.  What started as a personal art project — inspired by her two inquisitive daughters — has transformed into a full-blown mission to teach children about their bodies and help them master their own well-being. Some folks will want to know that before founding Know Yourself, Nancy spent 25 years in the tech industry and that she holds a BFA in Metal Arts with High Distinction from the California College of the Arts (CCA) and a Masters in Education from Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. What she wants you to know, however, is that she continues to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired by the creative force that is Know Yourself and is excited to come into work every single day.

The launch of our company and this exciting adventure series is the next big step in the Self Literacy movement that’s changing the way children learn about their bodies at an early age,”— Nancy Howes, founder and CEO of Know Yourself.
