Students will explore Growth and Change of a Community

This Build a Community Packet is a Social Studies activity from Nita Marie's Classroom Creations. This activity has students explore how communities begin, change, and grow by having them build a model of a community.

I have included a page with directions, along with templates for trees, rivers, lakes, houses, and businesses. Several of the templates are included in different sizes depending upon how much space you have for your student to build their community. Each template comes pre-colored and in black and white. The house templates are available in several different colors as well as black and white.

I have been an  elementary school teacher for 16 years!  I'm certified to teach 1st through 8th grade.  Most of my teaching career has been teaching lower elementary.  The last 8 or 9 have been in 2nd grade. This past year, I earned a Technology Facilitator Add On to my teaching certificate.

Seveal years ago, I began selling some of my the items I make for my classroom. I'm totally excited to be trying Educents!  I can't wait to see how it works out.
