This set of activity and counting pages is designed for K-1 classrooms to provide an introduction to US coins. Three counting and activity pages are included to introduce and explore the value each of the four basic US coins (penny. nickel, dime, and quarter). 

An All About page is included for each coin that portrays the heads and tails side. Students color the coins appropriately (brown or gray) and add their own images of the coin on the bottom of the page A cut and sort page has been included for this task. Fun alternatives could include the use of coin stickers, rubber stamps, or cutting and gluing pictures from coin magazines. 

Students can apply skip counting skills to count pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters. Two different counting pages are provided (one with 4 coin sets, another with 5 sets) for differentiated counting practice of each coin,
