This set of 24 author's purpose task cards are great to use for reinforcing concepts taught, as well as challenging your early finishers. Includes: Persuade, Inform and Entertain
Each card provides a short paragraph to read. Students then determine if the paragraph is written to persuade, inform, or entertain. Then, they are asked to explain how they determined the author's purpose.
You can laminate the cards and have students write their answers directly on the cards with dry erase markers or they can use the included student recording sheets. Answer sheets for each set are included for self-checking and sample answers, if desired.
I am a second grade teacher and I am very blessed to have been molding the minds of young children for the past 16 years. I love teaching! As a little girl, I could not imagine myself doing any other job. As much as I love teaching my students, I also enjoy creating meaningful resources to use with them in the classroom!
