Kids can practice their addition and subtraction facts with this apple-themed activity.
* Copy pages 6-10
* Cut out the trees on pages 6-7 and attach to the inside of a file folder or construction paper (or print on tagboard)
* Laminate (if desired) and cut out apples
* If you are making this a file folder activity, you may want to add velcro dots to the inside of the folder and the back of the apples.
* Use an envelope to store the apples. I glued mine to the back of the file folder.
*Copy page 11 to use as a recording sheet. Since there are multiple ways to use this activity and the students may not use the same apples, this sheet can be used for ANY combination of uses!
Each color apple represents a different type of problem. They can be used all together or separately for easy differentiation!
GREEN apples are addition with sums 0-10
RED apples are addition with sums 11-20
YELLOW apples are subtraction within 0-10
