Join The Young Scientists Club and make science come alive! The Young Scientists Club works similar to a magazine subscription in that your child will be sent a complete science kit on a regular basis. This science curriculum is unlike any store-bought science kits. It is instead set up as a continuous learning experience. The kits not only build upon each other but are also interlinked. For example, when your child studies magnets with science kit 3, he/she will make a compass. This compass, in turn, will be used to study wind direction with a self-made weather vane from kit 4. This linkage enforces the learning of this science curriculum as a continuum as opposed to a one-time experience that children will most likely forget. With 36 exciting kit topics, your child will never run out of things to learn with this award-winning service!

So there are 36 topics but you only receive 12 topics a year?
Asked by a Homeschooler on July 16th, 2016
That is correct. Most customers receive the first 12 kits, and renew for another 12. You can change the kit order by emailing The Young Scientists Club at [email protected]

I ordered this a little while ago and am not sure if I will be getting 12 kits at once or one a month. In other words, did I sign up for the club or just the first 12 kits? I went on your site but don't see any club information. Thanks!

You will be receiving one kit a month for 12 months. If you would like to change this to twice a month for 6 months or have them all shipped at once, you can do so by emailing us at [email protected] of calling us at 1-800-964-1320. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

What is the difference between this club and the Magic School Bus science club?
Asked by a Homeschooler, Parent, and Super-hero on May 19th, 2016
There are only 12 kits in the Magic School Bus science and the order of the kits are pre-determined. The TYSC club has 36 kits and can be customized and shipped either once or twice a month. Many of our customers start with the Magic School Bus subscription and when they finish that subscription, start the TYSC subscription. Please let us know if we can answer any further questions. My kids (ages 5 and 11) love these kits! There are 12 kits but each kit contains 3 kits which means a total of 36 kits/subjects! It comes down to only a few dollars a kit! Most of the supplies you need are included in each kit (so far I've only had to purchase a red cabbage for the pH unit but there is no way a red cabbage could have been included in the kit!) and each one comes with a multi-page packet of experiments and suggestions for further exploration. The only drawback is that the packets are black/white with few pictures, so it may not be as exciting to look at as say the Magic School Bus or Clifford kits are. Due to this, the kids tend to like me to be around to direct the experiments. That doesn't bother me at all because even though I'm an engineer, there are many experiments included that I've never seen before! We love the subjects - owl pellets, circuits, litmus testing, digestion, bones, senses, light, etc. We love all the supplies that come wth the kits - many are re-useable (our favorite so far is the prism!) I did a lot of comparisons on science kits and this one I felt gave the most exposure to the science subjects, creating a fun learning atmosphere.

These kits are awesome! I use them to homeschool my kids and they get so excited whenever we use these kits. All the materials are there, making it very easy to use, and it's both educational and fun. Definitely a great deal.
