Practice the critical skill of instantly recognizing sums of ten with this easy-prep animal-themed card game. Your students will love the beautiful photos of the lion, leopard, lynx, and five other wildcats!
Product Description

This animal-themed card game for kindergarten and first grade has 31 cards, each showing a number model with two addends with a sum of eight, nine, ten, or eleven. Players take turns adding the numbers on a card. If the answer to the number combination is ten, the player keeps the card. If not, he or she discards it. The first player to get five cards wins. It's an easy to prepare math center activity that will help your students to quickly gain the essential skill of recognizing addends that total ten.

Also included is a student recording sheet on which your students will record number models for ten and illustrate the models on ten frames.

*BONUS! Eight wildcat photo cards labeled with the name of the animal. Use them in a science center, or as trading cards or for special rewards!

The beautiful animal photographs in this card game for sums of ten will keep your students engaged
and playing again and again!
Core Curriculum standards K.OA.3, K.OA.4, and 1.OA.6.
