This BINGO game helps students practice their first grade high frequency words We used candy corn for BINGO markers. One student is the "caller". He/she draws the word card and places it on the table where all players can see. The players cover the word on their card with a candy corn, if they have it! The first player with 4 in a row, gets to be the "caller" for the next round. Works well in small groups.Has also been used for RTI tutoring, and remediation pratice. Part of our Daily 5 "word work" station for October.

MY TEACHING STYLE
My teaching style has developed over the years. I like a structured class, where my students feel respected and free to make choices. I enjoy the "buzz" of learning discussions within the classroom. My favorite time of the day, is when we come to the "reading table" to "show off". Show me what you know! I play music, we chant, we dance, and we laugh. I like to have educational games available for both non-readers and gifted students. I also hold my students accountable for their learning. I try to instill in them the love of LEARNING for a lifetime.
