This was really perfect for my kindergarten aged child, going into grade one. He's interested in planets and was pulling the sheets off the printer as we went! I think I'll finally use my laminator! I can see how more information would be better for the older ages, but this is great for mine. :)

The cards only indicate the number order of the planets. These cards are more suitable for K and 1st. If the cards included interesting facts, perhaps the size, physical features, number of moons, etc.; it would be more helpful to older children/middle schoolers. I may still use them and have my older children white a few bits of information on the back of each card.

This unit includes basic information about the planets but my kids still liked the unit. I think we will end up using it for reinforcement during our space week unit.

The cards did not have a lot of information other than what order the planets are in and therefore did not really add a lot of value for my second grader. It would have been more interesting if it included info on the relative sizes and composition of the planets, temperature, color, etc.
