20-Summertime Journal Prompts is a writing tool that was inspired by both my teaching in a summer school setting, as well as my own work as a parent keeping my son writing through the summer months in order to avoid the "summer slide!"
These 20-high-interest prompts can be used in a few different formats... 1. Post the prompt on the computer or Interactive White Board, have students copy the prompt in a writer's notebook, and write! 2. Have students copy and paste the prompt into a Word document in order to have students work on word processing skills for future computer-based assessments requiring students to type extended responses.
In addition to prompts, this summer learning tool comes with: -easy directions for use -stated common core standards -rubrics to evaluate student writing
Grab this tool for: -home use -as an end of school summer learning pack handout -for summer school writing
