There are so many uses for this activity! My original intention was to have it for helping students see and hear the first and last sound in a word. As I got going, it turned into something much more!! This activity can be used for that, as well as practicing spelling, phoneme segmentation, and letter recognition!

Frequently Bought Together

Total Price: $16.00

I have included 4 segmenting mats and one page of letter mats (Used to practice spelling! Any words can be used with this, not just the ones provided here). Use them as you would like and how you see fit! As we know, every student we see is different! =)

If there is something else that you would like to see in this activity, please let me know!

* 4 Sound Mats (GREEN = 2 sounds, ORANGE = 3 sounds, BLUE = 4 sounds, PINK = 5 sounds)

*1 page (2 mats) of spelling mats

*Letter tiles (4 of each letter, and blank tiles in case one goes missing!)

*10 pages of words(There are words for all 4 mats. They are divided by the numbers of sounds, same as the mats! GREEN = 2 ORANGE = 3 BLUE= 4 PINK = 5)

* 2 sets of 30 picture cards (One set includes the word and one set does not)

My name is Danielle and I am currently a K-5 Special Education Teacher in Minnesota! This is my 3rd year of full time teaching! I currently have my K-6 Elementary Teaching License and my K-12 SPED license!

The goal I have while creating resources is that fit a wide range of learners!! Differentiation is important in EVERY class, no matter the grade! Each student learns at a different pace and in a different way. When creating, I make sure my items can be/are differentiated in any way possible!

I believe that ALL kiddos can learn, some just need the right tools and the right activity!
