Figurative Language About Love: "Scoot!" by Ideas By Jivey.  This Scoot game includes concepts of figurative language all about love. To play Scoot:  Print the task cards on card stock or thick paper and laminate. Cut apart. Place one card on each desk in the room. Give the students their answer sheet. Set a timer (30 seconds might be good for this set) and when the timer begins, students should complete the task that is at their desk and fill in the box for that task number. When the timer ends, the teacher says “SCOOT!” and students move to the next desk to answer that task card. This continues until students end back at their seat. If you have less than 30 students, you can remove some of the cards, or place them in other areas of the room for students to move around to: a table, taped on the door, etc.  This could also be played with less cards and students paired as partners.  Retail price of $2 and 8 pages are included.
