I'm using this for the first time with my 8 year old 2nd grader. He actually enjoys this practice and can't wait to see how all the letters will connect to one another later on!

I printed out and spiral bound this and use it for my kindergartners and 3rd grader for extra handwriting practice. They love the theme and enjoy using them far more than other practice work.

I use these worksheets everyday so my kids can learn to write cursive. Since the public schools have stopped teaching cursive it is up to the parents now. This is an important skill to read letters, write checks and so many other things.

Cursive is a dead skill, but it shouldn't be! Note-taking is SO much faster and easier with cursive.

I like this for beginners and for those who need extra practice. My Son is in third grade and I like that he can go back and practice the letters however, my favorite feature is the letter Q! I have seen many samples of different cursive writing curriculums and the choose one form of teaching writing the letter Q and in this printable, your student can have both so they can know what the letter q might look like in someone else's handwriting!

I am a retired teacher. I am home schooling my 3 grandchildren and I found these free worksheets for cursive to be very helpful in learning to write each capital and lower case letter in cursive. The size is great for beginners, and also for my 10 year old grandson who has difficulty with his small motor skills. There is space between each letter to try writing the letter without tracing. This is very beneficial to their mastery of each letter. Tracing alone is not sufficient for learning. It helps dramatically when they concentrate to duplicate the letter themselves. Thanks for this Freebie!

I downloaded and laminated these sheets. A few of the letters are different than other cursive instruction manuals (the "H" is one) but I like how it shows 2 options for the "Q." Overall, a very good product.

cursive writing sheets
Jan 20, 2016
Fantastic!!!!! This is for some, an old teaching lesson, but I still believe the world needs cursive writing. We need to write it and read it. I took this lesson a step further and asked my parents to send cursive handwriting samples for students to read. The parents loved being involved and it was a challenge to read for sure. Thank you so much!

This is what you see in the picture--a page for each letter of the alphabet, capital and lower case. I would have liked some sentences or words for copy practice, but for free, I can't complain! My oldest is 5 so I downloaded this to save for when we can use it.

My son likes these very much. The super heroes are cute and fun. It is very ink-heavy, though. Full-colour is lovely, but a bit much when you're on a budget.

Cursive is an absolute must in my book! These practice sheets are great and would have been ideal if it wasn't for the amount of ink it takes to print these if you want them to look the way they do in color. Great idea, but way too much ink used to print these! Even if printed black and white, there is too much happening on the page. I don't mind the heroes, though I'm not the biggest fan, but if they could just be less prominent on the page and line drawings instead of full color, I think that would be a great option. Otherwise, very well designed and great for this purpose!

everyone needs to learn cursive
Aug 21, 2015
My 10 year old grandson is learning cursive, something his friends in public school will never learn. Cursive writing, like many other skills, helps with hand/eye coordination and is useful for helping children be more skilled at note taking as well as allow them to be able to sign their names and read old documents, all of which were written in cursive! Parents need to use any incentive to convince their children that just because the schools don't teach it, cursive writing is something all children should be able to do! As far as having "heroes" involved, that really isn't necessary!
