Times Tales can be used at any age and is a great companion or introduction to teaching multiplication to your students. Teachers can incorporate the video into their lessons, and parents can use Times Tales to complement their children's math education.
Times Tales makes learning the upper times tables easy and fun for kids. The videos use cute, simple stories that provide students with a "memory peg," allowing them to quickly recall otherwise abstract multiplication facts. As they progress through the video, they'll learn multiplication without even knowing it! It's that easy!
Can I use this for my class of 10? Looking for something downloadable...

For any viewing of 5 or more students, you will need to purchase the Classroom Editions- which is currently available in DVD only.

I would like to purchase this for my class. How many students can log on at one time?
Are there samples of the worksheets you provide? Teacher 4-222
Asked by a Teacher on August 24th, 2016
Times Tales Classroom DVD isn't a computer software program. The dvd is a six step process that children watch and then try to answer the game show quizzes that come up after each learning step. I'm sorry at this time we do not have any samples of the worksheets that are provided in the printables.

I have a desktop and 2 laptops that my children work on. If I purchased this one time, Can I download this on all three computers or only one of them? Or will I need to purchase it three times to put it on all three computers?
Asked on August 1st, 2016
The copyright allows for Times Tales to be downloaded on two home devices.

I purchased the downloadable version toward the end of last year. The sound has stopped working on the files. I have tried deleting and redownloading, but it still does not work. What now?
Asked on June 7th, 2016
Please email our customer service : [email protected] and explain that you will need a new file to be sent to your email. Hopefully, that will solve your issue of not being able to hear the sound.
I've read a couple of reviews commenting that this product is for younger children, so I wanted to say that it was very effective for my 10-yr-old son. He does not learn well just by repetition; if he can make it fun, then it sticks. We enjoyed the stories, and some of them are so ridiculous that we laughed about them, which made them more memorable. This product was perfect for him, a kid who likes making monsters out of his less than/greater than signs more than solving the problem, doesn't care how long something takes if it's entertaining, and adores Life of Fred. It would not have been useful for my daughter, who likes to complete things ASAP and cross it off the list. I am grateful for times tales bc it helped my son learn in a fun way what he thought was drudgery before.

The reviews said it would help students memorize their times tables. My 10 year old son who already knows most of them, just needed to refine those upper times tables, was more confused than anything and it didn't help him memorize at all. It's really for younger students.

Great for memorizing multiplication facts
Aug 08, 2016
This has helped my third-grader memorize his multiplication facts. Each member has a character and there is a story to help remember the facts. After watching the video a couple of times, We asked him the multiplication problems & he did well. Very pleased. I also love the fact that it's downloadable. We have little kids that like to scratch CDs, so this option was perfect for us!

Could be better, great for younger kids!

I'm not that impressed, my kids get bored with the same videos over and over again, although, they are 9 & 10, so maybe it's geared towards children younger than this.

Never have I come across an item that actually does what it claims, so easily. The tales are easy to follow, make sense and remembered. It is literally listening and you have learnt. No more writing out times tables every day and not remembering them. One listening and it is all learnt. Totally amazed and unbelievably satisfied.

My 8 year old was really struggling to memorize his multiplication facts, but after just one viewing he could remember all of them!! I was completely amazed! My 10 year old had most of them memorized already, but the stories really helped her with her division facts! Would highly recommend this product!

I bought this for my 8 year old to help her memorize her times tables. She is very verbal, so these stories really help her to memorize the math facts. My younger kids- 6 and 4- have also been watching them and are starting to memorize the stories as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone whose child needs a little extra help in memorizing their times tables.

I was a bit dubious at first, but decided to use my educents credit because SOMETHING had to help my son with memorizing multiplication facts! I am so glad I did because he responded so well to the stories and flashcards and had memorized the facts without even realizing it at first. He loved it and all I have left to say is Thank you!

My only regret is not purchasing the DVDs. This worked so well that I wish I would have purchased the DVDs, instead of the download, so I can use it with my child who is 5 in a few years. My 3rd grader has struggled all year with memorizing his multiplication, he has no disabilities, but no desire to learn them. The reviews are not lying, within one hour he had memorized most of his upper multiplication tables and has remembered them for 2 months! He loved it! And I did too!! I have recommended this to everyone I know, who says their child is struggling with multiplication! I guarantee, you will not regret it!

My son is 10 years old, and has some special needs. He does not memorize well at all, and was having a terrible time learning his times tables. Now he knows them! With just one viewing, and use of the worksheets, he knows the multiplications facts. We are thrilled. He did complain that the stories are for little kids, but they worked, so he was willing to sit through them. Great product!

Terrific Times Table

I purchased the download videos for my 3rd grader. She watched them 3 times and by the end of the day she knew her Times Tables. I always tell her Remember the story!!! The best teaching tool.I have ever used to date.

Times Tales is effective!!!
Apr 20, 2016
As a last resort I tried Times Tales with a 17 year old, very cool young man. It worked! Both of us are very motivated to get to the second half. It took about 8 sessions to start recalling the answers to the Times Tales. The numbers and equations were automatically recalled. I would recommend this product to any age level!

My 7y-o started struggling with the upper times tables. She knew them, but not quickly, and math became painful as we started to work division problems with the 7s,8s, and 9s.
I found this one night and thought why not. I had enough credit to buy it cheaply (thank you Educents) and downloaded everything for the next morning.
She loved it. More important, she got it, and it stuck. We're sailing through now. I love this program, and will use it again for my son.

9 year old dyslexic daughter "got it" after only one viewing! I think that says it all, sure her school friends (who learned the traditional way) thought it was boring, but for her it finally clicked, its all about memorization and stories are EASY to remember! Now we are creating our own stories to go with the simple times facts because its fun!

Wish I would have found this sooner
Mar 04, 2016
My 3rd grader feels like a "baby" watching this. It seems to be a great program I just wish I found it sooner. I will keep on trying to get him to watch it but for now I have to say it wasn't for my son. We also had trouble downloading this. I really wish we would have bought the DVD. If we end up getting him to use it and it works I'll leave a new review. If not I'll see what my little niece thinks of it.

Whether your child is older (12, 13, 14) or younger (8, 9, 10), this program is awesome. I have both and older and younger child who are benefitting from this program. My older one thinks the storie are corny-funny -- but she doesn't *forget* them! Also, they both love the "Game Show" in the videos and love playing with the flashcards. I haven't even shown them the worksheets or cube yet - they're gonna die!

My 9 year old was struggling with remembering her facts. She could figure it out but it took her forever to do each problem. After watching the free trial she remembered them with ease the following day, dancing around and thrilled! I immediately ordered the download. We are almost done with week 2 and she knows them all, frontwards (multiplication) and backwards (division). If you are on the fence, order it, worth every penny!

Worth every penny!

Exactly what my 11 year old needed! Worked like a charm. Easy and fun, she really did learn them in a day. She does a times test every day now as reinforcement with the printout and has no problem. I love how there are two sets of flash cards, one with the story hints and one without. Memorizing math facts doesn't need to be painful!

The times tables have been a hurdle for my dyslexic son. Math facts just don't stick in his brain. The fact that he has understood the science behind a black hole from the age of 4 doesn't help him feel less stupid when asked what 9 x 8 is, and he can't remember. I sat him down and made him watch the videos, he was bored until the statement, " the answer is in the story". He sat up, paid attention and now knows his times tables. (He watched the videos only once). I feel about this program the way I feel about the Grand Canyon, everyone should have a chance to look at it. Brilliant and effective, whoever thought of this approach is one smart cookie! Best $20 I have spent in a really long time.

Great Product...my kids learned their times after watching the 1st time!
Nov 29, 2015
Quick note: Like the previous reviewer I also thought I only received 3 downloads. In order to get the full download to your computer/laptop, you have to right click on the video and click "save as" or whatever is similar in your prompt. Then the download will begin!! I used all 3 and contact support online. They restored my downloads so I could get it without any troubles!
Now onto my review! I downloaded this to help my 8 year old remember his lower times and start learning his upper times. It took watching the video once. Just once. He had no trouble watching it and now will go back to school after Thanksgiving Break and know his upper times - he'll be soooo cool! My 6 year old also watched, and now he knows all of his times as well! I didnt' intend for him to learn his times over break, but bada bing bada boom...two kids with times out of the way! WAHOO!!!!
Trigger Memory Co. is owned and operated by Jennie von Eggers & Marillee Flanagan, sisters. They have been in business since 2003. They are two homeschool moms that were looking for an opportunity to help kids and have a small business. Jennie von Eggers created the stories for Times Tales in 2003 as a quick way for her two grade school boys to learn their upper times tables. She got tired of the same old boring flashcards. Jennie is always looking for unconventional ways to teach her kids. They have since published Zone Clean 'n' Flip products as well at the Memory Trigger. Most of their children are now in college but both the homeschooling adventure as well as their small business has been a blessing to both owners.
