Everyone loves cupcakes and sweets from a bakery. Now is your chance to open your very own bakery (option: have a bake sale). You’ll have an opportunity to create your own menu, make your favorite flavor and more.
There are some things you need to do so your shop will be a success. It will require you do do some research as you do your planning.
Learn about the history of cupcakes and about some Austin bakeries. Photos of visit to Nothing Bundt Cakes, Hey Cupcake and Sugar Mamas. Take a survey to learn about favorite cupcake flavors. Graph results Create questions for business survey. Record results Questions about starting a bakery. Choose a name, logo and slogan for your bakery. Design a store front (use my template or design your own) Create your own business plan (company overview) Interview an owner or manager of a bakery. Create a new flavors of cupcakes and describing words Create a new cupcake How to Make Cupcakes and Needs of Our School (Writing) Design an flyer to advertise your shop. (This can be done on the computer or on a blank sheet of paper.) Make sure to include important info about your shop. Design business cards Create coupons for your ice cream shop. Plan a menu for your bakery. – Students can even create their own design after using this template as a rough draft. Inventory (choice of using a spreadsheet) Plan social media for your ice cream shop Cupcake and cookie recipes Use a spreadsheet to take orders and making large recipes.
