In this fun and easy to implement sight word practice activity, the children practice spelling, saying and reading their words. Coloring is an essential skill for little people to develop. It helps build muscles in their hands to write their letters and words appropriatley and helps them practice holding their writing utensil the proper way. Supply students with the page that has the list of appropriate Dolch Sight Words for their level. Have the children find the word, say the word and spell the word before they color the section. It is that easy-PRINT AND GO!!
Additional Practice: turn the page over and write, illustrate or complete a sentence with the words. My students use letter tiles to build words after they have completed the activity.
