Do you stop to pray the Angelus every day at noon? We recently have added this lovely prayer to our daily prayers, so I made this PowerPoint and little black and white stack and staple booklet to explain to the children why we stop and pray the Angelus each day. I also made the single sheet of the prayer in black and white for them to color and take home to share with their families. In addition, I made the 17x11 poster to hang up under the clock for easy reference.
I hope these resources make it easy for you to implement this lovely tradition of the Catholic Church into your daily routine.
This Zip File also includes a PowerPoint presentation of the informational text explaining the origins of the Angelus to use as a whole group presentation.

Practice Makes Perfect is an Early Childhood/Elementary Education teacher from Southwestern Pennsylvania. After graduating college, she moved to South Florida, where she taught kindergarten in the Palm Beach County School District for 8 years. After having children, she decided (with her husband) that Florida was too far away from the rest of the family, and she moved back to her hometown, where she took a few years off to spend time with her son. She has been teaching in the parochial school system for 18 years now, first at kindergarten, and currently in a first grade classroom. Lesley has also taught 2nd and 3rd grade Spanish and 4th grade social studies.
