Place Value Packet: Place Value Fun! Place Value Teacher Presentation Place Value Math Center Activity: Place Value Mix and Match. Place Value I Have Who Has Place Value Spin It and Win It Place Value What’s Next? Place Value Worksheets --- 4. Place Value ~ Practice with 10s and 1s.
Understanding Place Value with Joe the Giraffe by Nita Marie’s Classroom Creations is a newly revised packet with tons of fun to help students learn and practice place value.
I started this packet with a brand new 14 page presentation in pdf format. PDFs can be imported into several different presentation softwares, such as ActivInspire or PowerPoint. Next, I kept the original place value Mix and Match, in which Joe the Giraffe will help students learn about place value. In this game they match Base 10 Blocks with the number of tens and ones. Then they will match both of those place value cards to the numeral. I created 32 sets of place value cards. (Each set has a base ten card, a place value card, and a numeral card.) I made enough place value cards so that I can divide them and make two or three centers out of them.
I added three new activities to this packet: • Place Value “I Have/Who Has” Game\ • Place Value “Spin It & Win It” Game • Place Value “What’s Next” Game Each of these games has an instruction Card included. The What’s Next Game also comes with an Answer key.
Finally, I added 3 new worksheets to this packet… Now the packet has 4 worksheets!!!
If you like this packet be sure to check out some of my other Math packets. For instance I have another packet that will help students understand 3 digit numbers. http://www.educents.com/nita-maries-classroom-creations As I get ready for the new school year, I plan to add more centers to align to the common core. Any claims of correlation or alignment to the CCSS Standards are solely those of Nita Marie’s Classroom Creations by Nita Marie. and have not been evaluated or endorsed by NGA.
